  1. Population and dissenters: Twenty six Families. Two Dissenters of Presbyterian Denomination. No Meeting House at all.

    The Reason why there appear two hands in this Paper of Queries is because some of them were answer’d by the Rector and others of them by me.

  2. Public or charity schools: No.

  3. Alms-house, hospital or charitable endowment: None but the Church House, no other Charitable Endowment at all.

  4. Residence upon cure: No; but near two Miles from the Church; there being no Conveniency of Boarding nearer.

  5. Curate: I allow him thirty pounds a year & Surplice Fees.

  6. Divine service at other churches: In the Church of Kennerleigh, which is near a Mile distant, to which I was licens’d by his Lordship the late Bishop of Exeter.

  7. Frequency of divine service: On Sundays generally twice.

  8. Frequency of communion: Six times in a Year: twice at Easter; once at Whitsuntide; once at Michaelmas; twice at Christmas.

  9. Number of communicants: Near twenty in general. As well as I remember there were fourteen or fifteen that comunicated at Easter last.

  10. Catechising of children: Every year in the Summer when the days are longest.

  11. Chapels or chapels in ruins: No.
